Music provided by: Shirley Stubblefield - Pianist, Jordyn Courtney, granddaughter - soloist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Billie Joe Heaston, Mike Heaston, Lonnie Heaston, Matthew Heaston, Joseph Heaston. Honorary pallbearers: Ros Hull, Jeff Zaiger, Jason Zaiger, Bill Carroll and David Gartin.
Winfred L. "Punkin" Heaston passed away at 11:27 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 in Bowling Green, Missouri. Winfred, known by many as "Punkin was an avid bowler and horseshoe pitcher. He was a longtime member of the Arlington Iron Benders Association. Punkin loved the challenge of putting a good puzzle together and playing cards on the computer. He was known to be one of the best Pool Players in Vandalia before moving to Texas. He was employed at Stotler Excavating and a few other odd jobs before becoming a Brick Skidder for 19.5 years with CE Refracteries until 1984 when they closed the doors. Then he began working with DIE Co, Inc. in Grand Prairie, Texas as a Supervisor from 1993 - 2009.
Born: December 16, 1943 in Laddonia to Carl Douglas & Helen Bertha (Stephens) Heaston.
Married: Mary Ann Stotler in Farber on September 26, 1964; she survives in Bowling Green, Missouri.
Survivors include: wife, Mary Ann Heaston; two sons, Scott E. Heaston of Nashville, Arkansas and Shayne L. Heaston of Burleson, Texas; one daughter, Lisa L. Heaston of Grand Prairie, Texas; four brothers, Don Heaston of Lebanon, Missouri, Bert Heaston of Kansas City, Billy Heaston of Vandalia and David Heaston of Mexico, Missouri; one sister, Mildred Lennox of Monroe City, Missouri. Five grandchildren, Matthew Heaston, Joseph Heaston, Corbin Heaston, Alexandra Heaston & Jordyn Courtney.
Preceded in death by: parents; two brothers, Doug Heaston and Jack Heaston; two sisters, Kay Heaston & Patricia Meyers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Community Loving Care Hospice of Bowling Green, 914 Main Street, Bowling Green 63334 or Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) on 2520 Elisha Ave, Zion, Illinois 60099.
