Service:

Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Officiating will be: Rev. Kevin Ford and Rev. Marvin Jones.
Music provided by: Lorene Syler and Alta Jones.
Interment will be in the Salem Church Cemetery near Center.
Pallbearers: Andrew Perrine, Kevin Ford, Kyle Ford, Chad Ford, Melissa Shaffer and Rebecca Ford. Honorary pallbearers are: Ron Rourke, Malcolm Dowell, Fred Schambach, Ed Parks and Gene Syler.

William Edward Ford passed away at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. Ed had been a lifelong Pike county and Vandalia area resident. He joined the U. S. Army during World War II and worked as a mechanic and in the maintenance department at Bobbie Brooks garment factory in Vandalia, retiring in 1984. Ed had also farmed and worked at the International Shoe factory. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Vandalia and his hobbies were hunting and fishing.

Born: June 18, 1920 in rural Pike County, Missouri the only child of George Edward and Lillie Lee (Liter) Ford.

Married: Anna B. Watson on December 31, 1942 in Bowling Green, Missouri; she survives at the home.

Survivors include: wife, Anna of Vandalia; three sons, James E. and wife, Carolyn Ford of Louisiana; Gary L. and wife, Donna Ford of New London and Dennis D. Ford of Fayette; six grandchildren, Andrew L. and Carmen Leigh (Ford) Perrine, Kevin S. and Mary Ford, Kyle L. and Michelle Ford, Chad A. and Leigh Ann Ford, Melissa A. (Ford) Shaffer and Rebecca L. Ford; ten great-grandchildren, Kerry L. Channel, Dalton J. Channel, Gavin D. Ford, Ethan C. Ford, Madalyn L. Ford, Alyssa A. Ford, Emma L. Ford, Lillie G. Ford, Kayleigh J. Shaffer and Delaney M. Shaffer.

Preceded in death by: his parents.
