Wesley Lee Collette passed away at 8:55 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandaia, Missouri. He spent his childhood years in Onawa, Iowa. Wesley's family then moved to Sioux City, Iowa where he graduated from Central High School in 1956. After graduating from high school, Wesley served four years for his country in the U. S. Army. Upon returning home from the service, he started to work for the Lehigh Cement Plant in Mason City, Iowa and worked there for 37 years before retiring. Wesley enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Born: October 31, 1938 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Walter Eugene and Loretta Cordelia (Thompson) Collette.

Married: Nancy Carol Clark on October 7, 1959 at the First Christian Church in Vandalia, she survives at the home.

Survivors include: wife, Nancy of Vandalia; two sons: Calvin Collette of Vandalia; Barry and wife, Nancy Collette of Mason City, Iowa; one daughter, Dee Ann Thomas of Vandalia; one sister, Shirley Hollis of Framingham, Massachusetts; three grandsons: Fernando Zubia Jr., Jacob Collette and Kyle Collette; one great-grandson, Mason Zubia.

Preceded in death by: his parents
