Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.

Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Mike Culwell, Kent Selby, David Barker, Bennie Clithero, Kenneth Watts, Ronnie Heaton. Honorary pallbearers will be Mayo Culwell, Earl Benton Culwell, Jim Lehenbauer, Wilmer Davis, Johnnie Pitzer, Warren Kuntz, Gary Heim, Francis Johnson and Norm Proctor.
Wendell M. Culwell passed away at 4:55 a.m. Sunday, February 29, 2004 at the Boone Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. He had farmed south of Vandalia for many years, retiring in 1994. Wendell enjoyed horses and was active in the Tri-County Saddle Club, Audrain County 4-H and the Vandalia Jaycee's. He also enjoyed bowling, dancing, water skiing and boating.
Born: July 5, 1928 in rural Louisiana, Missouri to John Cleveland and Edith (Moore) Culwell.
Married: Doris Ann Trower on December 24, 1950 in Louisiana, Missouri, she survives at the home.
Survivors include: wife, Doris of Mexico; two sons, W. Timothy and wife, Amy Culwell of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; Thomas E. and wife, Melissa Culwell of Vandalia; two daughters, Cheryl Anne Pargeon of Mexico and Melisa Dawn and husband, Melvin Wade III of Long Beach, California; one sister, Lillian Lehenbauer of Long Beach, California; seven grandchildren, Nathan Pargeon, Kyler Selby, Melvin Wade IV, Harley Wade, Haley Culwell, Clayton Culwell and Riley Culwell.
Preceded in death by: parents and one brother, Marshall Culwell.
