Friday, January 21, 2005, a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis with Waters Funeral Home in Vandalia, Missouri in charge of the arrangements.
Officiating will be: Rev. John Hollenbeck will officiate at Tri-County Care Center and Gary W. Rahmeyer will officiate at the committal service at Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Virginia Ann (LeGost) Schmidt passed away peacefully at 2:48 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2005 at the Tri-County Care Center, Vandalia, Missouri. Virginia graduated from Webster Groves High School in 1934. After high school she went to work at the Curlee Manufacturing Company in St. Louis in the bookkeeping and payroll department. Then during World War II she went to work for Sunnen Manufacturing Company in St. Louis in the bookkeeping and payroll department. Then after marrying Rowland, they moved to the country south of Vandalia in January 1961. She enjoyed reading, gardening and her birds.
Born: November 27, 1915 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Urbain August and Louise (Hoffmann) LeGost.
Married: Rowland E. Schmidt in Ellisville, Missouri on November 8, 1958; he preceded her in death on December 8, 1998.
Survivors include: one brother, George Adolph LeGost of New Mexico; two nieces, Barbara Riddle and Carol Bister.
Preceded in death by: her husband, Rowland.
Memorials may be made to the Laddonia Food Pantry or the AGAPE House of Vandalia.
