Officiating will be: Revs. R. E. & Jennie Moore.
Music provided by: Deborah Kraft, pianist; Marion Branstetter, soloist and Gerald Keithley, soloist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Ron Magruder, Raymond Kirtlink, Kenneth Keller, Lewis Brooks Jr., Charles Stack and Lt. Gov. Joe Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers: Juan Jose Pineda, M.D., Joe Bahr, Bill Wooten, Wade Belts, H. Vernon Moore, Gerald Wallace, Joe Branstetter, Erwin Moore, Orville Willis, Dave Davis and Richard Benner.
Verdella N. Thomas passed away at 6:55 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2005 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. After graduating from Vandalia High School in 1940, Verdella worked at the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Mexico for a few years. She also owned and operated three restaurants in Vandalia, first was The Koffee Cup, then The Towne & Country and then The Towne & Country II. Verdella managed the meal catering at the Vandalia Country Club for several years. She was a member of the New Harmony Christian Church and the Modern Maturity Senior Citizens Center in Vandalia. She enjoyed playing cards and bowling.
Born: August 10, 1922 in rural Pike County, Missouri the daughter of Lonnie Lafayette and Naomi Jane (Moore) Flanigan.

Survivors include: one daughter, Janie L. Thomas of Vandalia, Missouri; several cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by: parents.
Memorials may be made to the New Harmony Christian Church or to the Tri-County Care Center.
