Thomas L. Preston III

Thomas L. Preston III, age 41, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 1:37 am Saturday, February 1, 2020, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Waters Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Lehenbauer will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens following the service.

Visitation celebrating the life of Thomas L Preston will be held at 11:00 am until 2:00 pm Thursday February 6, 2020 at the Waters Funeral Home.

Thomas was born on May 17, 1978, in Columbia, Missouri the son of Thomas L. Preston Jr. and Elizabeth Govero.

Survivors include his mother Elizabeth Govero and stepfather, David Allen of Vandalia, MO; daughters, Kaylee Preston of Vandalia, MO and Jadelyn Robinson of Bellevue, MI; sisters, Shelly Perkins of Vandalia, MO and Diana Preston of St. Louis, MO; one grandfather, Thomas Preston, Sr. of Silex, MO; five uncles, Phillip (Cathy) Govero of New Hartford, MO, Bill Govero of Columbia, MO, Charlie (Joyce) Govero of Vandalia, MO, James (Janice) Preston of Frankford, MO and Andy Preston; two aunts, Linda (Steve Bransetter) Govero of Vandalia, MO and Cherly (Mike) Traynor; cousin, Buck (Winona) Zumwalt of Vandalia, MO and many more loved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas L Preston, Jr.; brother, Cory Ray Preston; grandfather, Charles Govero and grandmothers, Wilma Jean Govero and Martha Preston.
Thomas attended the Bowling Green High School and worked as a sanitation engineer for Meridian Waste Solutions, INC. in Bowling Green, MO.

Thomas loved his job and the people he worked with, he also enjoyed making things. He had a passion for computers and was talented. When he wasn't working or spending time with his daughters he could be found doing computer coding and 3D printing.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Govero, James Preston, Buck Zumwalt, Michael Lyberger, Rob Dyke and Eugene Govero.

Honorary Pallbearers are Charlie Govero, Jamie Govero, David Allen and Steve Bransetter.

Memorial contributions may be made to Waters Funeral Home to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
