Thomas B. Kirk passed away at 12:01 a.m. on Monday morning, June 27, 2011 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. Tom attended area schools and was a Christian by faith. He had worked for many years as a truck driver for Wasson Grain in Vandalia, Fowles in Laddonia and Oliver Transport out of Mexico, Missouri. Throughout the years Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing in the area lakes and ponds.
Born: August 16, 1929 in rural Vandalia, Missouri the son of Hay Bell and Myrtle (Inlow) Kirk.
Married: Lula Mae Jennings; she preceded him in death on June 20, 2002.
Survivors include: two daughters: Connie S. and husband, Dennis Jones of Hallsville, Missouri; Jean M. and husband, Melvin Schamma Jr. of Quincy, Illinois; one brother, Ward and wife, Mildred Kirk of Lexington, Kentucky; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: two half-brothers, Harve Wright and Jack Bea; one sister, Leila Mae Matthews and one half-sister, Rose Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the family.
