Stephenie Lennox, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Vandalia, Missouri, on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
A visitation will be held in her honor on March 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM, both at Waters Funeral Home located at 500 S. Main Street, Vandalia, MO 63382. Burial will follow in the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, MO.
Stephenie was born January 29, 1967, in Mexico, MO the cherished daughter of Stephen Guy and Linda Kay (Hunt) Shaw, Sr. She was united in marriage to Martin Wayne Lennox, Sr. on April 29, 1989, he preceded her in death on August 29, 1998.
Family was the love of Stephenie's heart. She cherished the precious time spent with her mother, children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with joy and laughter. Her legacy will continue to shine through her mother, Linda Kay Shaw of Vandalia, MO, son, Martin Wayne Lennox, Jr. (Kelly) of Bowling Green, MO, and her daughters, Tiffany Lennox (Richard Yeo) of Moberly, MO, and Tasha Lennox (Jason Elliott) of Vandalia, MO. As a grandmother, she adored her nine grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Alexis, Molly, Kenzie, Peyton, Aleah, Amelia, Lincoln, and Ella, all of whom brought her immense happiness.
Stephenie also survived by her siblings, Stephen Shaw, Jr. of Montgomery City, MO, Adam Shaw, Sr. of Montgomery City, MO, Kelly Belshe Smith of Hannibal, MO, and Becky Craven of Montgomery City, MO.
She was preceded in death by her father, husband and two brothers.
Stephenie dedicated herself to a fulfilling career in healthcare, serving at local nursing facilities where her compassion and commitment to others were evident daily. Her contributions to the community went beyond her professional life; she was known for her ability to uplift anyone around her with laughter and affection.
Those who knew Stephenie will remember her fondly, not only for her unwavering kindness and vibrant spirit but also for the simple joys that brought her happiness, watching shows like "Cops" and "Ghost Adventures" during her leisure time, and the countless family gatherings that were always filled with laughter.
Stephenie Lennox leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by her family and friends. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
Pallbearers will be Martin Lennox, Jr., Jason Elliott, Richard Yeo, Stephen Shaw, Jr., Curtis Craven and Adam Shaw, Sr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Stephenie's cherished grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Van-Far Ambulance District, in care of the Waters Funeral Home.
