Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Sharon Jeanne Neal passed away at 11:36 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013 at her home in Vandalia. She was a lifelong Vandalia area resident and a 1968 graduate of Van-Far High School. Sharon worked out in the plant at Harbison Walker Refractories in Vandalia for a number of years. She then became a CNA and later a CMT and worked for over 15 years at Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. Sharon retired in 2010 due to health reasons but continued to make visits to TCCC. She was a long-time member of the First Christian Church in Vandalia and she also had many hobbies. Sharon was quite an accomplished artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. She also spent time crocheting, gardening, cooking, feeding and watching her hummingbirds. Sharon really loved playing with and spending time with her pet Chihuahua.
Born: June 17, 1950 in Hannibal, Missouri the daughter of William Cloyd and Violet Elizabeth (Horton) Neal Sr.
Survivors include: two brothers, Billy and wife, Linda Neal of New Bern, North Carolina; Mike and wife, Martha Neal of Mexico; five sisters: Nelva Owens of Bowling Green; Barabara and husband, Allen Snodgrass of rural Vandalia; Marilyn Rhoades of Vandalia; Karolyn and husband, Bob Green of rural Vandalia; Nena Neal of Vandalia; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: parents and one brother, Nelson Neal.
Memorials are encouraged to the J. B. and Greta Cancer Center in Mexico, Missouri 65265.
