Sandra Jane (Larimore) Bartison passed away at 12:43 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. She graduated from Bement Township High School in 1958. After her marriage to Charles, she worked as a bookkeeper at the Farm Services office in Bowling Green. She later worked for several years at the Hillebrand Insurance agency in Vandalia. During this time, she was also a full-time homemaker on the family's farm south of Vandalia. Sandra was a long-time and very active member of the First Christian Church where she served on the church mission committee and was a Sunday School teacher. She was the Chaplain of the Ladies Gideon's Auxiliary. She volunteered with the PATCH program at WERDCC to help children stay connected with their mothers while they were separated. She volunteered her time for service projects and to help students at the Christian Campus House. She enjoyed baking, cooking, traveling, and visiting with friends and family. She showed Christ's love to others by helping others whenever she could.
Born: September 30, 1940 in Hammond, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer and Olive (Tish) Larimore.
Married: Charles L. Bartison in Bement, Illinois on November 15, 1959; he survives at the home.
Survivors include: husband, Charles of rural Vandalia; three daughters: Heather A. Noe (Kendall) of Columbia; Andrea L. Rose (Paul) of Olathe, Kansas; Amber M. Hawk (Brandon) of Sheridan, Missouri; two brothers: Thurman Larimore and Paul Larimore; two sisters: Linda Wagner and Kay Norman; six grandchildren: Esther, Abby and Sam Rose; JoLynn, Jane and J. C. Hawk; also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceded in death by: parents; three brothers: Dean Larimore and Wayne Fair, and Floyd Larimore; three sisters: Violet Buoy, Marie Goldsberry, and Waneta Springman.
