Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vandalia, Missouri.
Pallbearers: Louis Rees, Al Wortman, Herman Wright, Evan Case, Travis Case and Lee Olebeare. Honorary pallbearers are: Robert Hays, Kenneth Herlinger, Bill Fox and Dustin Smith.
Ruby Mae (Beshears) Stevens passed away at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at a caregiver's home in Vandalia. Ruby was a high school graduate and worked for several years at the Ely Walker Garment Factory in Vandalia, Missouri. As an animal lover, she had chickens on the farm and started selling them to various local businesses and individuals. Ruby turned her hobby into a business and was a local egg producer for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vandalia and enjoyed caring for animals and attending country music shows.
Born: October 16, 1914 in rural Vandalia the daughter of Everett Lee and Susie Martha (Trower) Olebeare.
Married: Elmer Jack Beshears in New London, Missouri on January 2, 1932; he preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1979.
Survivors include: four nephews, Lee Olebeare of Vandalia; Travis and wife, Nancy Case of Vandalia; Evan and wife, Lisa Case of Vandalia; Martin Rector of the state of Florida; two nieces, Kim Haynie and husband, Laban of Farber, Missouri; Rhoda Kennard and husband, Terry of Kirksville, Missouri; special friends, Robert and wife, Lisa Hays of Vandalia; Mabel Goodpasture of Vandalia; Doris and Martha Allen both of Vandalia; many great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by: husband and one brother, Marshall Olebeare.
