Robert Lee Mims passed away unexpectedly at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at his home in Mexico, Missouri. He had lived in Mexico the past three years, moving here from the Lambert, Mississippi area. Robert had attended schools in the Lambert area and was a Baptist by faith. He had farmed and drove an over-the-road truck for many years prior to his retirement. Robert enjoyed hunting with his nephews.

Born: January 4, 1935 in Lambert, Mississippi the son of Robert and Emma (Taylor) Mims.

Married: Ethel Barron over 20 years ago in Isola, Mississippi.

Survivors include: one son and thirteen daughters; one brother, Jack "Judge" Johnson of Lambert, Mississippi; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Eugene Mims and Tom Mims; also preceded by one sister.

Local arrangements are being handled by Waters Funeral Home in Vandalia, Missouri.
