Friday, April 2, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street in Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: Sharon Hoehn - pianist; Virginia Carlson - soloist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery with full military honors.
Pallbearers: Ethan Leadley, Kevin Lovelace, Dale Nichols, Pat McCollum, Tom Becker and John Becker. Honorary pallbearers: Daryl Lovelace, Kevin Plotner, Kenneth McDonald, Robert Chapman, Kim Plotner, Don Nichols, Butch Plotner and Kent Plotner.

Robert Franklyn Leadley passed away at 2:35 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico, Missouri. Frank had grown up in the Wyoming, Illinois area and attended schools there. He and his family moved to the Farber area in the late 1940's and farmed. Frank joined the U. S. Army and served his country in the Korean Conflict. After returning home, he continued to farm and also started working in the mold shop at Harbison Walker Refractories in Vandalia. Frank retired from Harbison Walker in 1995 after over 31 years of service. In his more active years, he enjoyed square dancing, fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Frank was a member of the New Hartford Baptist Church for many years.

Born: June 20, 1933 in Wyoming, Illinois the son of Robert and Freeda Rebecca (Sanders) Leadley.

Married: Shirley Lovelace on October 30, 1955 in Vandalia, Missouri; she preceded him in death on April 8, 1994.

Survivors include: two sons, Keith and wife, Mary Leadley of Farber, Missouri; Kelly and wife, Linda Leadley of Vandalia; one daughter: Debbie and husband, Johnny Kohl of Columbia, Missouri; four sisters: Doris Plotner of Bradford, Illinois; Auliece Olson of Toulon, Illinois; Gayle Harrison of Centralia, Missouri and Carole Fischer of Mexico, Missouri; five grandchildren: Jennifer Prior, Kayla Leadley and Ethan Leadley all of Vandalia; Lucas Kohl of Columbia, Missouri and Alex Flowers of Farber, Missouri; two great-grandchildren: Braden and Haley Prior of Vandalia, Missouri; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents; wife, Shirley; one sister: Lois Chapman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico, Missouri or the East End Miracle Walkers Relay for Life Team.
