Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Russell Reading, Donald Talbot, Paul Gore, Jeff Wright, Ronnie Ball and Richard Rentfro. Honorary pallbearers: R. H. Kohl, Mick Hayden, Jim Ford, Lee Gore, Jimmy Boyd, Donny Moran and Eric Moran.

Robert E. "Bob" Brewer passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital after battling chemo-therapy for just eight weeks. Bob grew up and attended schools in the Bowling Green area. After school he farmed for Murray Shepherd near Bowling Green. When Bob and Donna were married in 1960, they moved to rural Vandalia where Bob farmed for Donald Biggs, Richard and R. H. Kohl, Paul Gore and Russell Reading. Bob retired from full-time farming in 2006 but continued to help Paul Gore and Russell Reading part-time. Bob was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed many hobbies. He enjoyed dancing, bluegrass music and festivals, antique shopping and going to sales. Bob loved to jitterbug and hunt raccoon, coyote, quail, turkey, deer and mushrooms. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bob helped Donna raise Donna's brother and two sisters after their mother passed away unexpectedly.

Born: April 7, 1940 in Louisville, Missouri the son of Clarence Herbert and Mildred Jane (Kelch) Brewer.

Married: Donna Rose Tullock in Bowling Green, Missouri on July 30, 1960; she survives at the home.

Survivors include: wife, Donna of Vandalia; mother, Mildred of Foristell, Missouri; two sons: Kenny and wife, Shari Brewer of Vandalia and their children: Alyse, Scott, Alex and Adam; Donny and wife, Kelli Brewer of Lees Summit, Missouri and their children: Ryan and Zach; two daughters: Jennelle Brewer of LasVegas, Nevada and Dawn and husband, Scott LaRue of Raymore, Missouri and their children: Landon and Lucas; also survived by six brothers: James "Buddy" and wife, Sandy Brewer of St. Louis; Harold and wife, Susan Brewer of Bowling Green; Mike and wife, Ann Brewer of Bowling Green; Donald Lee Brewer of Bowling Green; William "Bill" Brewer of Bowling Green and Richard "Ricky" Brewer of Columbia, Missouri. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by: father, Clarence; one brother, Kenneth Brewer who died in infancy.
