Rebecca Jo (Carlisle) Spitznagel passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. Rebecca was born in Centreville, Illinois and attended schools there. Since the mid-1990s, she lived and worked in the St. Louis area. Rebecca began at a Steak-n-Shake restaurant and later was the manager of a Burger King for six years, before her health prevented her from working. She enjoyed crafts, particularly plastic canvas. Rebecca also was an avid reader and loved to play monopoly and listen to music.
Born: February 20, 1961 in Centreville, Illinois the daughter of Coleman Irby and Shirley May (Long) Carlisle.
Survivors include: two daughters, Crystal D. Waters and husband, Terry of Vandalia; Shirlena M. James of St. Louis; one brother, C. Allen "Toby" Carlisle and wife, Lisa of Middletown; two sisters, Victoria L. Cook and husband, Mike of Vandalia; Rhonda J. Tapley and husband, Michael of Vandalia; special friend, Dave Spitznagel; also survived by three grandchildren: Brink L. Waters, Rowe M. Waters and Micaiah A. Waters; also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by: parents.
