Pamela Hammers, age 72, of Columbia Missouri, passed away on August 26, 2024, at her home, with her family by her side.

Pamela was born on November 10, 1951, in Vandalia MO, the daughter of Clifford Leonard Berry and Bertie Mae Berry. She graduated from Van-Far schools 1969. She married Donald Hammers in November of 1970.

Pamela worked in the manufacturing field and nursing field.  She retired from Rusk Rehabilitation Center in 2014.  She enjoyed reading her bible as she was a Christian by faith.  She also loved cooking, listening to her "old goodies" as she would say and also enjoyed her favorite TV shows.  She especially enjoyed spending her time with her children and grandchildren.

Pamela is survived by her estranged husband, Donald Hammers, two sons; Travis Berry of Columbia MO and Mr. and Mrs. Lance Berry of Mexico MO. Two daughters; Elonda Berry (Antonio) of St. Louis MO and Keyina Berry of Columbia MO. Grandkids; LaTia Berry, Corey Owens Jr, Markeese Owens, J'iona Flemmimg, J'Leeyah Flemming, Cam'Ryin Fountain and Car'Tele Fountain.  Two sisters; Branda Perkins (Donnell) of Vandalia MO and Barbara Mahaney (Robert) of Columbia MO. One brother; Bernard Chatman (LaTanya) of Louisiana MO. One uncle; Brick, of New Jersey. Two brother in law's; Roger Chatman of Vandalia MO and James Starks of Phoenix, AZ.  A host of nieces and nephews and one special friend; James Richard Thomas.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents; Clifford L. Berry Sr. and Bertie Mae Berry, one brother; Clifford L. Berry Jr., two sisters; Joyce Chatman and Geraldine Starks, One nephew Darren Perkins, one niece; Tyra Chatman.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Waters Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at the Vandalia Cemetery.   Reverend Rosemary Camp will officiate.

A visitation celebrating Pamela's life will be held at 11:00 am, until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be; Corey Owens Jr, Markeese Owens, Robert Mahaney Jr, Marcus Perkins, Antonio Bates and Justin Flemming.

Honorary pallbearers are; Anthony Chatman, Derrick Chatman, Dominic Wray, Timothy Starks and Floyd Thomas.

Memorials are suggested to Waters Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.
