Nina Darlene (Jennings) Hogue, age 80, passed away at 2:41 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. Her family moved to the Vandalia area in the late 1940's and she was a 1953 graduate of Vandalia High School. She was a homemaker on the family farm and mother to three children. Nina Darlene was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Vandalia and enjoyed quilting, antiquing and baking.
Born: May3, 1935 in Busch, Missouri the daughter of Lance and Pauline Helen (Maenner) Jennings.
Married: Jackie D. "Jack" Hogue on December 6, 1958 in Vandalia; he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2013.
Survivors include: three children: George Dwayne and wife, Vernea Hogue of Laddonia; Beverly Diana Goodhart of St. Louis; Alan Dale Hogue of Frankford; one brother, Edward and wife, Roberta Jennings of Curryville; three grandchildren: Aleecia D. and husband, Mike Dillon of Eolia; Tristen N. and husband, Donnie Campbell of Vandalia; Thomas A. Hogue of Frankford; also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Jack; one brother, William Jennings.
Memorials are encouraged to the American Cancer Society in memory of Darlene's husband, Jack.
