Nena Ann Neal

Nena Ann Neal, 63, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 11:55 PM Friday, November 8, 2019, at Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia.

According to her wishes, Nena will be cremated and graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vandalia. Brother Kenny Haddock will officiate.

Nena was born on December 17, 1955, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of William Cloyd and Violet Elizabeth (Horton) Neal. She was the youngest, and ninth child born of this union.

Nena attended Van-Far Schools. She worked at Tri-County Care Center for 17 years. Before that she stayed at home to take care of her parents.

Survivors include William (Billy) Neal and his wife Linda of New Bern, NC. Barbara Snodgrass and her husband Allen of Mexico, MO. Karolyn Green and her husband Robert of Vandalia. Michael Neal of Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters; Nelva Owens and husband Gus Owens of Bowling Green, Marilyn Rhoades of Vandalia and Sharon Neal of Vandalia. One brother Nelson Neal of Bowling Green.

During her various hospitalizations, she always maintained a great attitude and was friendly with everyone she met. Nena enjoyed coloring and taking care of her flowers and spending time with her family and her dog, Taco.
