Michael T. Davis, age 69, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 2:42 pm Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Second Missionary Baptist Church Worship Center in Vandalia, MO. Pastor Dustin Holt will officiate. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery following the service.
Visitation celebrating the life of Michael T. Davis will be held at 10:00 am until the time of service Saturday February 8, 2020 at the Second Missionary Baptist Church Worship Center.
Michael was born on September 17, 1950, in Hannibal, Missouri the son of John A. and Fannie L. Davis.
Survivors included three brothers, Marlon Davis of Vandalia, Myron (Kim) Davis of Vandalia, Mark (Donna) Davis of Vandalia; three sisters, Marsha Davis of Vandalia, Marian Davis of Vandalia, Myra Davis of Vandalia; four aunts, Willisteen Miller of Mexico, MO, Cerise Davis of University City, MO, Jean Davis of Chicago, IL, Frances Davis of Kansas City, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Mitchell Davis and his grandparents, John R. Davis and Byona Davis.
Michael graduated from Van-Far High School class of 1969 and went on to work for the Waters Furniture Store for 40 years before retiring.
He love playing baseball and riding motorcycles. Michael was a huge fan of music and always enjoyed his time DJ'ing parties and events when he was younger. He loved people, visiting and joking around but there was nothing more important to him than spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews.
Michael was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church Worship Center.
Pallbearers will be Gary Davis, Jerry Davis, Maurice Davis, Steven Holmes, Michael Wheeler, Mike Reynolds and Wendell Wheeler.
Honorary Pallbearers are Aarius Davis, Larry Wheeler, Kevin Griggs, James Wheeler, Di'Ontai Dade and Curtis Kerr.
Memorial contributions may be made to Second Missionary Baptist Church Worship Center, in care of Waters Funeral Home.
