Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church, 314 S. Taylor Street in Vandalia, Missouri.
Officiating will be: Rev. Jeffrey Mims.
Music provided by: Pam Mims - pianist and the church choir.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Larry Holt, Dempsey Dixon, William Wheeler, Dustin Holt and Art Wiser. Honorary pallbearers: Marlon Davis, Jamie Wheeler, Dolly Leo Salmon, ronnie Greene, Roger Chatman and Larry Vaughn.
Mary Catherine "Cat" Lee passed away at 3:25 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at her home in Vandalia, Missouri. After school, "Cat" was a lifelong Vandalia area resident and worked at the Audrain City-County Health Unit for several years as a home health aide. She later worked for several years at the Barnes Cafe in Vandalia. She was a longtime member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Vandalia where she was active in the choir and mission work. "Cat" enjoyed playing cards, fishing and enjoying music.
Born: March 29, 1928 in Vandalia, Missouri the daughter of George N. and Josie (Nickens) Brice.
Married: James Lewis Lee in Vandalia on October 30, 1958; he preceded her in death on August 13, 1982.
Survivors include: two sons, James Wardell and wife, Lisa Lee of St. Louis; Craig Lamount and wife, Becky Lee of Columbia, Missouri; one brother, Noel Nathaniel Brice of Trezvant, Tennessee; one sister, Clarice Cannon of Vandalia; three grandchildren: Tiane Chatman of Vandalia; Toni Chatman of Bowling Green, Missouri and Alex Wheeler of Vandalia; four great-grandchildren: Tyess, Darriona, Jada and Stephon; also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: husband, James; one brother, Harold Brice; two sisters, Georgiana Brice and Virginia Wells.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Second Missionary Baptist Church, 314 S. Taylor, Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
