Officiating will be: Rev. Dr. Kenneth G. Jarvis.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Billy Wayne Bourne, Bill Shinn, John Wilson, Patrick Raucher, Paul Gene Galloway and Wayne Hamlett.
Mary Elizabeth (Shinn) Bourne passed away at her home during the early morning hours of Thursday, April 7, 2005. Mary and her family moved to Vandalia when she was a young child and she has been a Vandalia area resident since. She was a Christian by faith and a member of the VFW Post 2173 Auxiliary.
Born: July 29, 1923 near Auxvasse, Missouri the daughter of Ben D. and Mary (Williams) Shinn.
Married: George M. Bourne on December 11, 1953 in Vandalia; he preceded her in death on April 22, 1995..
Survivors include: one sister, Dorothy Thomas of San Antonio, Texas; a brother-in-law, Bill Bourne of Vandalia; a sister-in-law, Lois Shinn Motley of Laddonia; nephews and nieces: Billy Wayne and wife, Janet Bourne of St. Louis; Charles and wife, Terry Thomas IV of San Antonio, Texas; Bill and wife, Diane Shinn of Evansville, Indiana; Mary Beth Green of Rahway, New Jersey; Julie Shinn and husband Bill Mealing of Seattle, Washington; great-nieces and nephews: Renee Aulber Courier, Angela Berry, Lisa Shinn Raucher, Brian Shinn, Chris Bourne and Matt Bourne; a cousin, Katherine Shinn Wilson of Troy, Missouri.
Preceded in death by: parents, two brothers, Harold Shinn and Kenneth Shinn; one niece, Susan Shinn Aulber.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
