Malcolm M. Coose

Malcolm M. Coose, age 94, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 8:17 pm Thursday, October 7, 2021, peacefully at home with his family by his side.

The family will host a memorial service at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center of Vandalia. Pastor Glenn Forman and Pastor Brian Lehenbauer will officiate.

Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of the Waters Funeral Home.

Malcolm was born on December 13, 1926, in Curryville, Missouri the son of Maurice M.M. and Alma (Henderson) Coose.

He was united in marriage to Patsy Sue Henry on November 13, 1949. She survives him of the home.

Other survivors include, Two Daughters, Teresa (Charlie) Wright of Vandalia, MO, and Vickie (David Graf) Thompson of Jacksonville, FL; Two Granddaughters, Leanne (Joshua) Levy, and Ashley (Kevin) McKinnie; Grandson, Allen (Trina Hays) Wright; Two Great-grandsons, LaTrell Wright, Lamont McKinnie; Three Great-granddaughters, A'brianna McKinnie, Olivia Levy, and Lexi Levy; and many other loved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brother, Leo Coose and Sister-in-law, Norma Jean; Sister, Etolia Gordon; Father-in-law, Hardin Henry and Mother-in-law, Bessie Henry.

Malcolm graduated from Van-Far High School Class of 1945 and went to Trade School at Coyne Electric School in Illinois. He was a member of the American Angus Association. Malcolm was the recipient of the historic Angus Herd Award for continuous production of registered Angus cattle. He was a producer of Angus cattle for approximately 60 years.

Malcolm enjoyed working with cattle and farming, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church in Curryville, MO where he was very involved. He was a Deacon and long time Sunday School Superintendent.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's or Community Loving Care Hospice, in care of Waters Funeral Home.
