Wanda Pritchett died Friday, August 22, 2003 at the family home southeast of Vandalia after a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong Pike and Audrain county resident. She had been a grocery clerk for 16 years at the IGA in Vandalia, retiring in 1994. Wanda was a member of the Farber Christian Church and enjoyed her family, spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She was a 1952 graduate of Louisiana high school.
Born: September 4,1934 in Advance, Missouri the daughter of Henry R. and Omalea Tedder Umfleet.
Married: Lloyd T. "Buddy" Pritchett on April 21, 1956 in Louisiana, he survives at the home.
Survivors include: two sons, Ron D. and wife Kathy Pritchett of rural Columbia; Michael E. C. and wife Lila Pritchett of Jefferson City; one brother, Loren Umfleet of New London; four grandchildren, Josh, Casey, Andy and Courtney Pritchett; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: Parents, one brother, Henry Umfleet Jr. and two sisters, Esther Rowe and Mary Rose Hartman.
Memorials may be made to the Pike County Hospice.
