Tuesday, March 9, 2004 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Service:

Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Officiating will be: Rev. Dr. Kenneth Jarvis.
Music provided by: Loranne Nasir, piano solo and Helen Giltner, pianist.
Interment of the cremains will be in the Vandalia Cemetery at a later date.

M. Patricia (Lowry) Stoutz died unexpectedly at 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2004 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. Pat had been a resident of Vandalia since 1953 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She had been a teacher and educator with the Missouri State Education & Social Services department for over 15 years. Pat was a 1945 graduate of Lucerne High School. She received her bachelor of arts degree in English in 1949; her masters in education in 1975 and her specialist degree in higher and adult education in 1979, all from the University of Missouri in Columbia.

Born: December 22, 1927 in New Town, Missouri the daughter of Ray and Bernice Alma (Cooley) Lowry.

Married: Lee A. Stoutz on September 1, 1951 in Lucerne; he survives at the home.

Survivors include: husband, Lee of Vandalia; two sons, Mahlon Stoutz of Boston and Alan Stoutz of Fulton; two daughters, Lisa Stoutz and Daniel Gunn of New Sharon, Maine and Julie Stoutz of Vandalia; one brother, Marvin Lowry of New Town; two sisters, Louise Pickett of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Evelyn Duncan of Unionville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Rafel Stoutz, Ravi Stoutz, Molly Gunn and Nora Gunn; one great-granddaughter, Mariana Stoutz; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: one infant brother and one sister.
