Linda Sue McBride passed away unexpectedly at 2:42 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the St. Joseph's West Hospital in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. Linda was a 1964 graduate of Bowling Green High School and attended two years at the Hannibal LaGrange College. She had worked as a seamstress for many years at Bridal Originals and at the Bobby Brooks Garment Factory. Linda retired in 1998, when her health prevented her from working any longer. Linda was raised in the Catholic Church and enjoyed many hobbies. Among her favorite hobbies were crafts, decorating, antiquing and dancing.
Born: July 6, 1946 in Louisiana, Missouri the daughter of John Lafayettte and Mary Claudine (Brown) Johnson.
Married: Lawrence Wayne McBride on January 4, 1964 at the St. Clements Catholic Church.
Survivors include: husband, Larry of Vandalia; one son, Anthony Wayne McBride and his girlfriend, Kristen Goodman of Vandalia; one daughter, Deborah R. and husband, Mike Fox of Warrenton, Missouri; one brother, Kevin Johnson of Columbia; five grandchildren: Kayleigh McBride, Harley Fox, James Fox, Tyler Sydenstricker and Christopher Sydenstricker; also survived by three great-grandchildren: Lexi Fox, Dylan Fox and Mick Fox.
Preceded in death by: parents; one sister, Margaret Brandenburger.
