Leonard Connor

Mr. Leonard DeCarlo Connor, age 40, of Mexico, MO passed away at 2:41 pm Friday, June 25, 2021, at his home.   Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, July 5, 2021 at Second Missionary Baptist Church Worship Center in Vandalia. Minister Samuel Lee will officiate. Burial with Full Military Honors will be in the Vandalia Cemetery following the service.  Visitation Celebrating Leonard's life will be held at 11:00 am until the time of Service Monday, July 5, 2021 at the Second Missionary Baptist Church Worship Center.  The family has requested that "everyone" in Attendance comply with the CDC regulatory standards and carefully respect the safety of others. (Masks are Required for Attendance) at the Services. There will be "NO" lucheon after the service.  Leonard was born on October 31, 1980, in Columbia, Missouri the son of William Wheeler, Sr. and the "late" Joyce Connor of Vandalia. Survivors included his dearly beloved daughter, Arianna Connor; Father, Wm Wheeler, Sr. of Vandalia, MO; brother, T.J. Connor of Mexico, MO; sister, Pastor Charlene Wheeler-Williams D.D. (Carl Sr.) and Wm Wheeler, Jr. (Joyce) of Blue Grass, IA.  He was preceded in death by his Mother, Joyce Eileen Connor and "Grandparents" of the Connor and Wheeler Tribe.  Leonard graduated from Van Far Sr. High class of 1999 and went on to Honorably Serve in the United States Army. His MOS involved transporting tanks in the military. He loved spending time with his famly, hunting and fishing.  Pallbearers will be Lance Wheeler, Dometric Wheeler, Timothy Scott, Frederick Thompson, Jesse McCurdy and Scott Long.    Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Wheeler, Skylar Clark, Dakota Clark, Terrell Wommack and Aaron Dothard, Jr.. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trust Fund for "Miss.
