Music provided by: Sharon Hoehn - pianist and Natalie Gibson - soloist.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery with full military honors.

Lee A. "Skip" Pearson passed away at 12:12 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008 at his home in Mexico, Missouri. Skip was a 1956 Vandalia High School graduate. After school, he entered the U. S. Navy and served for two years. Returning home from the Navy, Skip helped his parents with Pearson Clothing Store on South Main Street in Vandalia from 1958 until 1964. He and Marijane then moved and lived in Michigan and Ohio as Skip worked for the Red Ball Shoe Company. They then returned home and Skip worked again at Pearson's Clothing Store from 1968 until the business was sold in 1987. Not ready to retire just yet, Skip got his insurance license and became the local Prudential agent from 1987 until his retirement in 1997. He and Perk attended Spencer Creek Baptist Church. Skip had been active in the Vandalia Rotary Club, Vandalia Masonic Lodge #491 and the Vandalia Country Club. He enjoyed many hobbies, his favorite was trap shooting sporting clays. However, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, snow and water skiing, baseball, bowling and golf.
Born: October 30, 1938 in Mexico, Missouri the son of Charles E. and Elizabeth L. (Hutt) Pearson.
Married: Marijane Ball in Vandalia in 1960, he then married Flossie "Perk" Ames on November 2, 1980 in Vandalia; she survives at the home.
Survivors include: wife, "Perk" of Mexico, Missouri; four daughters: Beth and husband, Steve Perret of Vandalia; Anne and husband, Paul Tuckley of Columbia, Missouri; Marta and husband, Ron Newbrough of Mexico; Katey and husband, Jason Cooper of Olathe, Kansas; eight grandchildren: Alex Perret and Elizabeth Perret of Vandalia; William Tuckley of Columbia; Amanda Newbrough of Jefferson City, Missouri; Hannah Newbrough of Mexico; Caylee Cooper, Timothy Cooper and Jewell Cooper all of Olathe, Kansas; one great-grandson: Hunter; one aunt: Mabel Lake of Troy, Missouri; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
