Lawrence Wayne McBride

Lawrence "Larry" Wayne McBride, age 79, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 6:23 am Thursday, May 27, 2021, at his home.  

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Waters Funeral Home. Father Louis Dorn will officiate. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery. 

Visitation celebrating Larry's life will be held at 9:00 am until the time of service Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Waters Funeral Home. 

The family is being served by the Waters Funeral Home of Vandalia. 

Lawrence was born on October 10, 1941, in Louisiana, Missouri the son of Harry and Evaline (Palmer) McBride.

He was united in marriage to Linda Sue (Johnson) McBride on January 4, 1964 at St. Clements Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on December 10, 2011. 

Larry was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leon McBride. 

Survivors include son, Anthony (Kendra Williams) McBride of Vandalia, MO; daughter, Debbie (Mike) Fox of Warrenton, MO; brother, Leo (Carolyn) McBride of Vandalia, MO; two sisters, Mary Andrews of Vandalia, MO and Deloris Miller of Bowling Green, MO; three grandchildren, Kayleigh McBride, Harley Fox and James Fox and four great grandchildren.

Larry attended Bowling Green High School and went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He loved to hunt, fish, riding motorcycles and spending time with family. Larry was great with woodworking and could fix anything.

Larry was a member of  Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses, in the care of Waters Funeral Home.
