Officiating will be: Pastor David Doctorian and Pastor Roger Huff.
Music provided by: Shirley Forgy - pianist; Connie Strother - soloist.
Interment will be in the Center Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Bryan Hilsabeck, Jeff Moore, Corey Moore, Andrew Moore, Joey Hamlett, Larry Primm and Tommy Kelly. Honorary pallbearers were the grandchildren.
Karen Sue (Stark) Moore passed away at 10:39 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2008 in rural Ralls County, Missouri. She was a 1962 Memphis High School graduate and attended Central Christian College of the Bible for two years and then one year at Hannibal-LaGrange College. Karen moved to Vandalia in 1964, shortly after she and Roy married. She was a full-time mother, homemaker and was a substitute teacher for the Van-Far School District for over 28 years. Karen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vandalia where she was active in the church women's group, church prayer chain, prison mission ministry and bible school. She also enjoyed visiting and calling on the elderly and attending gospel music shows.
Born: April 25, 1944 in Rock Island, Illinois the daughter of Earl and Clela (Webb) St. John; she was later adopted and raised by Robert Paul Stark and her mother.
Married: Roy E. Moore on August 4, 1963 in Novelty, Missouri; he survives at the home.
Survivors include: husband, Roy of Vandalia; two sons: Robert E. and wife, Lisa Moore of Washington, Missouri and Alan A. and wife, Paula Moore of Centralia, Missouri; one half-brother: Robert and his wife, Cheryl St. John of Florida; one half-sister: Sandy and her husband, Richard Keesee of Florida; seven grandchildren: Kayla Moore, Patrick Moore, Kali Alexander, Zane Moore, Stacia Moore, Paula Moore and Rebecca Moore; two aunts: Sylvia "Tib" and Donnie of Hannibal; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: parents; a niece and nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Shiloh Children's Ranch in Shelbina, Missouri.
