Judy Ann (Dowell) White passed away with family by her side at 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday, March15, 2016 at the home in Vandalia, Missouri. She was a lifelong area resident and a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church nearCurryville. Judy had worked for several years at the Bobbie Brooks Garment Factory in Vandalia. She then became a CNA and worked for over 20 years at Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. Judy was a member of the local T.O.P.S. chapter and she enjoyed camping, fishing, attending sporting events the grandchildren were participating in and spending time with her family.
Born: October 22, 1945 in rural Ralls County, Missouri the daughter of Lloyd Christopher and Josephine (Benn) Dowell.
Married: Billy Joe White on October 1, 1966 in Farber; he survives at the home.
Survivors include: husband, Billy Joe of Vandalia; three daughters: Elizabeth Ann and husband, Kenny Jones of Vandalia; Peggy Sue and husband, Willie Motley of Bowling Green; Kathy Jo and husband, Scott Miller of Vandalia; one brother, James Christopher Dowell of Vandalia; five grandchildren: Kayla Moore of Vandalia; Patrick Moore of Washington; Tiffany Motley of Bowling Green; Trey Miller and Sydney Miller both of Vandalia; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: parents; one sister, Bonnie Schambach.
Memorials are encouraged to the American Cancer Society.
