Officiating will be: Rev. Marvin Jones.
Music provided by: Shirley Forgy - pianist and Rochella Bland - soloist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: David Luebrecht, Mike Schumacher, Troy Brown, Paul Grote, Allan Kraft and Mike Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Irwin Moore, Dale Noel, Marvin Colbert, Alan Adkison, Richard Cox and Bobby Joe Young.
Jimmie Lee Bland died unexpectedly at 1:16 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri. Jimmie had retired in 1987 from Central Stone & Gravel after 25 years as bookkeeper and manager. He also had farmed the family farm south of Curryville most of his life. Jimmie was a member of the First Christian Church in Vandalia and enjoyed hunting, playing cards, dancing and gardening.
Born: September 5, 1936 in Curryville, Missouri the son of Orville Lee and Cuttie Inez (Brice) Bland.
Married: Norma Lee Todd on June 29, 1957 in Vandalia.
Survivors include: wife Norma of Curryville; three sons, Eddie Joe Bland of Vandalia; Randy Lee and wife, Rochella Bland of Vandalia; Lyle Ray Bland of Mexico; one daughter, Karen Sue and husband, John Luder of Russell, Kansas; one brother, Leland B. Bland of Vandalia; one sister, Willa Pauline Hillenburg of Danville, Illinois; five grandchildren, Justin T. Bland, Kristen Luder, Joshua Luder, Matthew Luder and Mark Luder.
Preceded in death by: parents; twin sons, Donnie and Ronnie Bland; two brothers, Orville L. Bland Jr. and Stephen Elmo Bland.
