Wednesday, January 5, 2005 from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service at 1:30 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Service:

Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street, Vandalia, Missouri.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by:
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jim Wells, Troy Bell, Larry Jones, Gene Brown, Glen Weibel and Gary Bare.

Janice G. (Bratcher) Brown passed away at 7 a.m., Sunday January 2, 2005 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri.

Born: March 28, 1901 in the New Harmony area the daughter of Asa Albert and Minnie Gertrude (Barrett) Bratcher.

Married: Forest G. Brown on December 24, 1921 in Bowling Green; he preceded her in death on January 10, 1949.

Survivors include: one son, Cleo F. and wife, Onema Brown of Mexico; one daughter, Patsy Sue and husband, Elvin Maxwell of Vandalia; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Brown of Mexico; six grandchildren, Linda and Larry Jones of Independence; Lisa and Troy Bell of Shawnee, Kansas; Vicky and Barry Seitz of Hayden, Colorado; Gene and Sandra Brown of Sarasota, Florida; Karen and Glen Weibel of Joplin and Karla Stockdall of Columbia, Missouri; three step-grandchildren, Brenda and Jim Wells of Bowling Green; Gary Bare of Columbia; Bill Bare of Kansas City; 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband, Forest; one son, Nelson D. Brown on Jan. 2, 1978 and one great-grandson, Robert Wells on July 1, 2000; three sisters, Aurie Bratcher; Ruby Branstetter and Lucy Ruyle.

Memorials may be made to the New Harmony Christian Church or donor's choice.
