Jackie "Jack" D. Hogue passed away at 12:31 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. He was a lifelong Farber and rural Vandalia area resident. Jack worked at Ennis Implement Company for several years before starting at NARCO Refractories in Farber. He retired when the plant closed in 2000 after over 30 years of service. Jack worked in many of the departments at NARCO, primarily skidding brick and working as a fork lift operator. He was an avid coon hunter and a member of the Spencer Creek Coon Hunters Club. Jack also enjoyed water racing and fishing.
Born: April 24, 1939 in Farber, Missouri the son of Perry and Opal (Burkhart) Hogue.
Married: Nina Darlene Jennings in Vandalia on December 6, 1958.
Survivors include: wife, Darlene of rural Vandalia; two sons: Dwayne and wife, Vernea Hogue of Laddonia; Dale and wife, Johnna Hogue of Frankford; one daughter, Diana Hogue of St. Louis; one sister, Claudine Hearn of Curryville; three grandchildren: Aleecia D. and husband, Mike Dillon of Eolia; Tristen N. and husband, Donnie Campbell of Laddonia; Thomas A. Hogue of Laddonia; four grandsons: Drake and Malaki Campbell; Joey and Austin Dillon.
Preceded in death by: parents; three brothers: Bill Hogue, Lloyd Hogue and Bob Hogue; one sister, Dorothy Berndt.
