Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street in Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: Sharon Hoehn - pianist; Natalie Gibson - soloist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Nathan Smith, John Fike, Brenden Bauer, Rodney Smith, Phillip Carlson and Josh Smith. Honorary pallbearers: David Wilkinson, Brad Smith, Brennen Church, Kevin Bauer, Calvin Hull and Tristin Bauer.

Ida Marie (Wilkinson) Smith passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. Marie attended Farber schools and after getting married, was a full-time homemaker on the family farm. For several years, Marie did work as an inspector at the Bobby Brooks garment factory in Vandalia. She was a long-time member of the Spencer Creek Baptist Church and moved her membership to the First Baptist Church after moving to town. Marie had been active as a 4-H leader, member of the Willing to Learn Club at Liberty and a Bible school teacher. She enjoyed taking care of many of her older relatives when they needed the help and she also enjoyed flowers, gardening, sewing and wallpapering rooms for friends.

Born: December 22, 1915 in rural Ralls County, Missouri the daughter of Henry Ralph and Nellie Louise (Sankpill) Wilkinson.

Married: Clyde Ray Smith on December 22, 1934 in Mexico, Missouri; he preceded her in death on July 5, 2001.

Survivors include: two sons: Billy W. and wife, Caroline Smith of rural Vandalia and Daryle R. and wife, Charlotte Smith of rural Vandalia; one daughter: Amy J. Fike of Lowell, Arkansas; one brother: Fred Wilkinson of Farber, Missouri; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband, Clyde; one daughter: Darlene Marie Smith who died in infancy; two brothers: Clifford Wilkinson and Ralph Wayne Wilkinson who died in infancy.
