Gloria Yvonne (Kifer) Gittins passed away at 3:35 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. She grew up and attended schools in Morgantown, West Virginia. She lived most of her adult life in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where she had worked for 29 years at the Campbell Soup Company. In her younger years, Gloria enjoyed attending country and bluegrass music festivals and dancing.

Born: September 29, 1935 in Morgantown, West Virginia the daughter of John Francis and Rose Marie (Shipaway) Kifer.

Married: Eugene Lee Gittins in Council Bluffs, Iowa on February 11, 1976; he preceded her in death in 2002.

Survivors include: two sons: Donald L. and wife, Sheila McDermott of Wentzville, Missouri; David A. Phillips of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one daughter, Diana Yates of Omaha, Nebraska; three grandchildren: Donald Jr. and wife, Valerie McDermott of Council Bluffs, Iowa; John Yates and Jennifer Yates both of Omaha, Nebraska.

Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Lee Gittins; two brothers: Ford Kifer and Jennings Kifer; one sister, Marie Kifer.
