Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Service:

Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers: Dale Hopke, Johnny McDonald, Jeff Hopke, Larry Shaw, Dave Hopke and Dwaine Hopke.

Glen Edward McDonald passed away at 8:25 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. He was born, grew up and lived his life on the family's farm south of Vandalia. Glen was a 1937 Middletown High School graduate and served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II. For many years, he attended Central Union Church near their farm. Glen truly loved working his land and raising livestock; a job he held his entire life until his health was such that he could no longer farm. In years past, Glen had been a member of the Vandalia Business and Professional Men's Club and an MFA delegate.

Born: May 5, 1919 in rural Vandalia the son of Riley Norton and Minnie (Clithero) McDonald.

Married: Mary Frances Goodman on March 23, 1946 in Curryville.

Survivors include: wife, Mary Frances of Vandalia; one son, Raymond E. and wife, Carol McDonald of rural Vandalia; one grandson, Chad and wife, Debbie McDonald of Mexico; three great-grandchildren: Cheyenne Skyy McDonald, Daniel McDonald and Jonathon McDonald.

Preceded in death by: parents.
