Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.

Francies H. (Scott) Elder passed away at 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. She was born and attended schools in the Hobert area of rural Lincoln county, Missouri. Francies was a Christian by faith and moved to Vandalia from Bowling Green many years ago. She had performed domestic work for several families in the Whiteside, Lewisville, Bowling Green and Vandalia areas. Francies enjoyed sewing, fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking and playing cards.
Born: April 8, 1908 in Hobert, Missouri the daughter of Henry Copenhegan and Charlotte Scott.
Married: Perry Elder, he preceded her in death in 1957.
Survivors include: one daughter, Lula F. Clark of Vandalia; eight grandchildren: Charlotte, Larry, Georgie, Henry, Patricia, Sylvia, Mary and Keith; 26 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; also survived by one sister-in-law, Gertie Chatman and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Perry; four brothers: Harry Scott, John Scott, Arthur Scott and L. Scott; two sisters, Mabel Scott and Susie Scott; two grandchildren, Andy and Randy.
Memorials are encouraged to the American Kidney Foundation.
