Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia.
Service:

Monday, October 15, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street in Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
Officiating will be: Rev. D. Randall Cone.
Music provided by: Shirley Forgy - pianist.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers: grandsons, Roger Smith, Robert Smith, Joseph Brinegar, Jeffrey Brinegar, Jerald Brinegar and Lucas Graves.

Evelyn Marie (Welch) Rentfro passed away at 10:40 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. Evelyn attended area schools and was a full-time homemaker on the family farm after she and Wilber were married. She attended the Central Union Church south of Vandalia. Evelyn had been a member of the Neighborly Neighbors Club and the Cackle Club. She enjoyed playing bingo with the Community Ladies Group and also enjoyed sewing, quilting, crochet and embroidery.

Born: April 15, 1922 in rural Audrain County, Missouri the daughter of Edward Benson and Emma Angline (Mills) Welch.

Married: Wilber Allen Rentfro on December 31, 1941 in Vandalia, Missouri; he survives at the home.

Survivors include: husband, Wilber of rural Vandalia; four daughters, Donna M. Smith and husband Ron of rural Curryville, Missouri; Joyce F. Brinegar and husband John of Wellsville, Missouri; Barbara J. Graves and husband Gene of rural Laddonia, Missouri; Janice S. Reading and husband Edward of rural Curryville; 11 grandchildren: Roger Smith of rural Curryville; Dena McGeorge of St. Louis; Robert Smith of Vandalia; Joseph Brinegar of Wellsville; Jeffrey Brinegar of Columbia; Jerald Brinegar of Wellsville; Sarah Graves of Mexico; Lucas Graves of Columbia; Elizabeth Graves of rural Laddonia; Melissa Collins of Elsberry and Meredith Koch of Elsberry and 13 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Clifford Welch and James Welch; one granddaughter, Tanya Reading.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Central Union Church or to the donor's choice.
