Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel.
Officiating will be: Rev. Glenn Forman.
Music provided by: selected favorite songs.
Interment will be at a later date.
Honorary Pallbearers: Herbert McGlasson Jr., Chuck McGlasson, David McGlasson, Carl McGlasson, Dale McGlasson, Chris McGlasson, Matt McGlasson and Cody McGlasson.

Elsie Lucille (Daniels) McGlasson passed away at 11:50 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. Elsie grew up and attended schools in the Pearl, Illinois area. She had worked as a nurses aide for a Joliet, Illinois hospital and in 1986 started working as a dispatcher for the Vandalia Police Department. Elsie retired in June 2013 from the police department. She attended Elm Grove Baptist Church and as the boys were growing up, she was active in the Boy Scouts and FFA. Elsie enjoyed her flowers, gardening, cooking and sewing.

Born: February 19, 1946 in Pittsfield, Illinois the daughter of Virgil Everett and Lucille Ann (Garrison) Daniels.

Married: Herbert Lee McGlasson in Pittsfield, Illinois on August 7, 1961.

Survivors include: husband, Herb of rural Curryville; five sons: Herbert and Glenda McGlasson Jr. of rural Vandalia; Chuck and Connie McGlasson of Vandalia; David and Danielle McGlasson of Vandalia; Carl and Bernie McGlasson of Eolia; Dale and Sharon McGlasson of New Bloomfield; one brother, Walter and Jane Daniels of Bowling Green; two sisters, Rosie Watts of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Mary and Bob Maham of Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by: parents; two brothers, Bill Daniels and Archie Daniels; two sisters, Carolyn McDade and Dorothy Self.

Memorials are encouraged to Breast Cancer Awareness.
