Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn, Rev. Derrick Grigg and Randall Kristofferson.

Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery with full military honors.

Donald I. Beedle passed away at 2:50 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. Don was a lifelong Vandalia area resident and long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Vandalia. After returning to Vandalia from his war service, Don worked with his father at the Beedle Service Station for a short time. He then worked at the Vandalia Firestone and Appliance Store for several years. In 1964, he bought the Mobil service station in Vandalia and ran Don's Mobil for approximately 15 years. During that time, Don also owned a car wash in town and operated both until his health prevented him from actively running both businesses. Don was a past-member of the Moose Lodge in Hannibal and a life member of Vandalia VFW Post 2173, where he served in all the officer positions. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, mowing and visiting with friends.
Born: July 26, 1927 in rural Audrain County the son of Hurley G. and Leah Ruth (Angel) Beedle.
Married: Juanita Sue Tredway on August 9, 1947 at the First Baptist Church in Vandalia; Sue survives at the home.
Survivors include: wife, Sue of Vandalia; one son, Rickey L. Beedle of Vandalia; one daughter, Peggy L. Beedle of Hannibal, Missouri; three sisters: Juanita Breneman of Laddonia, Missouri; Rheva Tratchel of Mexico, Missouri; Betty Abington of Vandalia; four grandchildren: Bill Whetstine of Mexico; Everett Whetstine of Perry, Missouri; Angelia Smith of Mexico and Danielle Beedle of Mexico; five great-grandchildren: Brandon and Brock Whetstine of Montgomery City, Missouri; Erica and Breanna Smith of Mexico and Alycea Whetstine of Vandalia; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: one daughter, Shirley J. Whetstine; three brothers, Eugene Beedle, William Beedle and Wesley Beedle; one sister, Viola Potter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Vandalia VFW Post 2173 in care of Waters Funeral Home, P O Box 84, Vandalia, Missouri 63382..
