Deborah Sue Cheney

Deborah Sue Cheney, age 67, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 2:12 pm Friday, October 1, 2021, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.

Memorial services will be held at a later date when the family feels it is safe to have a public gathering.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Waters Funeral Home of Vandalia.

Deborah was born on November 9, 1953, in Mexico, Missouri the daughter of Evrin and Patricia (Heaston) Myers.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Cheney on February 7, 1970 at the Farber Christian Church in Farber, MO. He survives of the home.

Other survivors included Daughter, Deanna (Jim) McMorris of Vandalia, MO; Son, Joe Cheney of Vandalia, MO; Three Sisters, Linda (Jimmy) Null of Farber, MO, Donna (Charlie) Dickson of Troy, MO, Joyce Green of IN; Grandson, Chase McMorris; Granddaughter, Hayli McMorris; and Great-grandson, Gerald Wayne "Baby J" Walker.

She was preceded in death by Parents; Brother, Steve Myers; and Sister, Barbra Ann Myers.

Deborah absolutely loved her family and was very proud of her grandchildren and great grand son "Baby J'. She loved family gatherings and would not miss one. Deborah also enjoyed going to the boat and shopping.

Deborah was a member of Farber Baptist Church in Farber, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with medical expensed for her great grandson "Baby J", in care of Waters Funeral Home.
