Raymond was a World War II veteran and worked in various occupations throughout his life. He was employed by NARCO Refractories in Farber for 32 years prior to his retirement. He made Farber his home for many years where he organized and led a Boy Scout Troop and coached a Little League ball team for several years. After retirement, Raymond and Louise moved to their farm south of Hunnewell where he spent 20 years enjoying his favorite hobbies of hunting and fishing. His spare time was spent at a camp on the Mississippi River where he was a commercial and recreational fisherman. Raymond enjoyed life to the fullest and was a kid at heart.
