Charles Edward DeShasier passed away unexpectedly at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at the University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. Ed and wife, Betty Lou had only been residents of Vandalia for the past four months, moving here from White Hall, Illinois. Ed owned his own truck and drove over-the-road for over 45 years. He was a U. S. Army and U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a life member of VFW Post 7684 in White Hall, Illinois. Ed enjoyed fishing and crafts.

Born: June 3, 1927 in White Hall, Illinois the son of Charles William and Viola Mae (Cox) DeShasier.

Married: Betty Lou Nash on June 30, 1993 in Eloy, Arizona, she survives at the home.

Survivors include: wife, Betty of Vandalia;
