Cathy Sue Turner

Cathy Sue Turner, age 65, of Columbia, MO passed away at 6:45 pm Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the University of Missouri Hospital. 

There are no services planned at this time, the family will host a memorial service at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Waters Funeral Home of Vandalia.

Cathy was born on March 14, 1958, in Barry, IL, the daughter of Donald and Delpha (Jacobs) Ducey, Sr.

She was united in marriage to Charles Turner on February 26, 1994, in Quincy, IL.  He preceded her in death on June 26, 1994.

Survivors include two daughters and their children, Ashley Turner and her son, Ashantis of Columbia, MO and Margaret Rita Turner and daughter Jordan of Columbia, MO; one brother and three sisters and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Professionally Cathy worked as a CNA.

Away from work, Cathy enjoyed gardening, shopping, going to garage sales cooking and family gatherings.  Mrs. Turner enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends and anytime you were around her you could expect a good time.

Cathy was a Catholic by faith.
