Officiating will be: Rev. Dr. Kenneth G. Jarvis.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns, How Great Thou Art and the Old Rugged Cross.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Eugene Wallace, Jim Daniels, Ray Werner, Raymond McDonald, Paul Gene Galloway and Bob Brinkman.
Catherine Margaret (Schriefer) Maxwell passed away at 6:50 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2005 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. A lifelong Vandalia area resident, Catherine attended area schools and was a 1932 Vandalia High School graduate. Before graduating from school, she started working as a seamstress at the Ely Walker Garment Factory in Vandalia. Catherine worked there until her marriage to J. T. Maxwell in 1946. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Vandalia and enjoyed reading, crochet and raising flowers.
Born: January 4, 1914 in rural Vandalia, Missouri the daughter of John Fred and Nellie (Barnes) Schriefer.
Married: J. T. Maxwell on May 11, 1946 at the First Presbyterian Church in Mexico, Missouri; he preceded her in death on November 28, 1988.
Survivors include: one sister-in-law, Martha H. Schriefer of Vandalia; very good friends, Lloyd Ray and Juanita Carr of Farber; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: husband, J. T. Maxwell; one brother, John H. Schriefer and one nephew, J. L. Schriefer.
