Carla June (Stewart) Grayer

Carla June (Stewart) Grayer, age 68, of Columbia, MO formerly of Farber, MO passed away at 5:15 am Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.

 Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Waters Funeral Home. Bro. Kenny Haddock will officiate. Burial will be in the Farber Cemetery. 

 Visitation celebrating Carla's life will be held at 12:00 pm until the time of the service Friday at the Waters Funeral Home.

 Carla was born on June 23, 1956, in Mexico, MO the daughter of Carl Richard and Thelma Irene (Terry) Stewart.

 Survivors include her children, Daniel "Danny" Dodd (Michelle) of Paris, MO, Jennifer "Jenny" Smith (Ronald) of Lee's Summit, MO, Andrea Williams of Columbia, MO, Amanda Davis (Michael) of Marshall, MO, and Justin Stewart Grayer (Sarah) of Chicago, IL; sisters, Judy St. George (Dennis) of Bemidji, MN, and Elizabeth Root of Arizona; grandchildren, Josie, Evan, Nessie, Tony, Cody, Tonio, Alan, Jasmine, Holly, Olivia, and Silas.

 In addition to her parents, Mrs. Grayer was preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Buckshot" Carl Stewart.

 Carla graduated from Van-Far High School in the class of 1974. Carla retired from the University Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, MO.

 Away from work, Carla enjoyed trips to the boat to try her luck, playing Bingo, tending to her garden and flower beds, trips to with family and visiting with her grandchildren and trips to Minnesota to visit her sister Judy. Carla's biggest love was her family, she cherished every moment spent with her children and especially her grandchildren who called her Nana.

 Pallbearers will be Tony Smith, Cody Smith, Mike Davis, Jeff Stewart, Scott Stewart, Josie Rarrick, and Randall Smith.

 Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Grayer's grandchildren.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Waters Funeral Home.
