Betty J. Barber, 92, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 1:18 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, MO.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vandalia, MO. Pastor Bob Hoehn will officiate.
The family is being served by Waters Funeral Home of Vandalia, MO.
Betty was born on November 18, 1926, in Nodaway, MO the daughter of William Gadberry and Nellie Grace (Carter) Gadberry.
Survivors include a son, William Barber and wife Betty of Vandalia, MO; a daughter, Shirley Rutherford of Mexico, MO; seven grandchildren, Lanny (Lesiley) Barber, Lori (Nick) Branham, Liz King Barber, Greg (Maggie) Rutherford, Brad (Shannon) Rutherford, Kim (Jeremy) Heaton, Scott (Shyra) Rutherford; twenty two great grandchildren, Lance, Jill, Bryanna, Abby, Kaitlyn, Brooke, Jake, Chase, Ella, Violet, Kristen, Kayla, Lindsey, Lauren, Evan, Eric, Ethan, Lane, Gage, Sierra, Savannah, Trenton, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Barber was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Billy Gadberry and Eldon Gadberry; and one sister, Dorothy Silvey.
Betty was married to Harold Ray Barber on August 2, 1944, in Kansas City, MO.
She enjoyed spending time traveling with her husband. After his passing, Betty enjoyed living a quiet life spending time with her family and enjoying moments with her grandchildren.
Betty was a Christian by faith.
