Anna Elizabeth "Liz" (Janes) Sheridan passed away at 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Golden Living Center - Pin Oaks in Mexico, Missouri. Liz was originally from and attended schools in the Laddonia area. She owned and operated the Sheridan Boarding Home in Vandalia for 12 years. Liz attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Vandalia. She enjoyed being a homemaker, crocheting, gardening, her grandchildren and traveling with her husband Albert.
Born: February 15, 1919 in Laddonia, Missouri the daughter of William Joseph and Georgia Oneta (Day) Janes.
Married: Albert C. Sheridan in 1939; he preceded in death on February 14, 1986.
Survivors include: one son and one daughter: Jimmie Ray Sheridan and his fiancee, Jeni Fox of Vandalia and Oneta Ann Brown of Mexico, Missouri; one brother: Bill Janes of Pacific, Missouri; one sister: Virginia Nutt of Vandalia; one daughter-in-law, Susan Sheridan of Greenwood, Mississippi; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: husband, Albert; two sons: Joseph Wesley "J.W." Sheridan and William "Bob" Sheridan; one brother, Johnny Janes and one sister, Lola Mae Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Vandalia Community Playcare Center and the Modern Maturity Senior Center in Vandalia.
