Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.

Anna Claudine (Henry) Bailey passed away at 10:18 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. After receiving her teaching degree, Claudine taught a couple years in rural schools in the Clarksburg/Latham area. A rural Curryville resident since 1947 when she and her husband moved to the Curryville area, she taught for a total of 20 years, mostly in the Curryville schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Vandalia, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was a member of the D.A.R.; the Merry-go-Round Extension Club in Curryville; the Pike County Retired Teachers Association; Pike County Historical Society; she and her husband traveled with the Friendship Force to many locations around the world. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, reading, playing games and spending time with her family.
Born: May 8, 1918 in Latham, Missouri the daughter of William Claude and Addie Lee (Wilson) Henry.
Married: George F. Bailey on December 24, 1938 in Latham; he preceded her in death on February 1, 2006.
Survivors include: one son, Glen A. and wife, Carolyn Bailey of rural Curryville; one daughter, Janet E. and husband, Bill Wilkerson of Blue Springs; two brothers, Leroy Henry of California, Missouri and Leland Henry of Jefferson City, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Kent Bailey, Mike Bailey, Brock Bailey and Ryan Bailey; Kristen James, Julie Cobb, Dr. Ben Wilkerson and Meaghan Wilkerson; 14 great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Ron Cobb of Jefferson City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: husband, George; one son and his wife, George H. and Evelyn Bailey Jr. in 1972; one daughter, Joyce C. Cobb and one sister, Velma R. Bloch.
